Garment Sewing
Okay, first things first. When we first learned to sew, one of the first things we had to learn was pattern selection. What body type do you have? Are you tall, and long waisted, or short and short waisted? Do you have legs to you arm pits, or just little stumps? (of course it was worded differently). Several questions you must ask yourself before you select the pattern. Next, you sit at the pattern books and pour over the numerous pages of patterns. Then, there it is, like a beautiful light shining down like a ray from the heavens. There is the pattern that will flatter your body type and make you look like a runway model. Then why oh why?????? do people select patterns with gathers and a waist band on a skirt when they have a thick middle??? Is it because society has told us that we are free to wear what ever we want to??? May I suggest the show....What Not To Wear .....Come on people. Don't waist your time cutting, sewing and fitting.....only to be wearing the wrong style. Please!!!!

sometimes...people just don't know... they don't "see" themselves as others might. Sometimes the clothes just don't matter...especially if there is a kind heart beating inside. =)

Thank you Annie....I have thought about this message every since I posted it....I don't want to sound mean. I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, a fashionista, however, when I am out shopping and I see the way people are dressed....it makes me wonder if they have a mirror. Heart...I have to think heart :o)
